About this Server

The Performa 450 is a Macintosh computer introduced back in 1993, also sold as the Macintosh LC III. The only difference from the LC III is that the 450 included a keyboard, mouse, and a Global Village Teleport Modem. A local company gave me this computer in 2001, along with an External Apple Hard Drive, original Teleport Bronze modem, keyboard, mouse, Performa Plus Monitor, and a StyleWriter II printer.
Currently this computer is running MacHTTP 2.6, connected to the internet through the home ethernet network, Linksys/Cisco Systems router and an NTT ADSL Modem.
I also have a Macintosh LC II running Eudora Internet Mail Server for personal use.
Since SCSI Hard Drives have become hard to come by these days, even at the Mac shops of Akihabara, the Performa 450 runs on a Seagate Momentus 2.5" HDD, and the LC II runs on a CompactFlash memory. The Seagate Momentus HDD is connected using a ATA to SCSI adaptor for 2.5" drives, and the CompactFlash is connected using a CompactFlash to SCSI adaptor.
